Empower Work Welcomes Philanthropic Leaders Megamo Nesbit and Adam Rosenzweig to the Board, Celebrates Emeritus Member Jen Burdick

Empower Work is thrilled to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors, Megamo Nesbit and Adam Rosenzweig, at such a pivotal time for the organization.

“Megamo and Adam have been incredible go-tos for Empower Work over the last few years as community champions. Now, having their input, strategic perspective, and leadership in new ways on the Board is a natural next step.” Jaime-Alexis Fowler, founder and CEO of Empower Work, said. “Both know well the challenges of bringing an idea to impact, from reach to national scale, and sustainable paths to growing a mission thoughtfully. It’s deeply meaningful to have them joining our board.” 

Megamo Nesbit is a pioneer in nonprofit market development with over 20 years of experience building social impact businesses at the intersection of technology and philanthropy. Megamo served as the first nonprofit business leader to unlock and scale nonprofit programs for Salesforce, Change.org, and Twilio, helping these companies empower tens of thousands of organizations worldwide to harness technology for their missions. Currently, as founder and CEO of Megamo Consulting, Megamo advises leading technology companies on ethically bringing products to the social impact sector while driving sustainable, impact-led business growth.

As the need for accessible, supportive guidance continues to rise, I am eager to contribute to their mission of ensuring that every worker receives the essential, empathetic support they need to thrive,” Megamo said. 

Adam Rosenzweig is a mission-driven leader who has built impactful teams and initiatives across multiple sectors. He currently teaches about the social impacts of technology as a professional faculty member at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. 

Previously, Adam served as Vice President for Social Impact at the global technology workforce company Pluralsight. He was also one of the first members of Okta’s social impact team, responsible for scaling Okta’s global nonprofit business and strategic philanthropy programs. 

In addition to teaching and volunteering, Adam works part-time as an Emergency Medical Technician in San Francisco.

And it's a privilege to support a social entrepreneur like Jaime-Alexis, whose commitment and work ethic are second to none,” Adam shared.

As Adam and Megamo join, Empower Work is grateful to founding Board Member Jen Burdick who will now be stepping into a Board Emeritus role. Jen, Supervising Attorney at Community Legal Services, has been such an impactful asset to the growth at Empower Work.
